Restaurant style Tomato Soup |ಟೊಮಟೊ ಸೂಪ್ | No onion No Garlic Tomato Soup

Tomato Soup / ಟೊಮೇಟೊ ಸೂಪ್  Ingredients Required: Tomato - 2 to 3 Cornflour - 2 tsp Butter - 1/2 tsp Oil - 1 tsp Salt - as per the taste  Sugar - 2 tsp Black pepper powder - 1 tsp Milk - 3 tbsp Water - as required  Fresh cream - 2 tsp (for garnishing ) Food color orange - A pinch  Method of Preparation: Take a vessel, pour little water and allow it to heat. Cut one tomato to 4 pieces.             Now add all the tomatoes to hot water and allow it to boil for 5 minutes or until the skin of tomato peels out easily. Once it is boiled switch off the flame and allow it to cool down.             Once it cools down grind them to puree and strain them to a bowl.             Now take a pan switch on the flame, when pan is heated add butter and oil to it.               As soon as the butter melts switch off the flame. Now add corn flour and mix it well, once it is mixed, add milk and mix it well so that there are no lumps.                    

Orange peel Chutney | ಕಿತ್ತಳೆ ಸಿಪ್ಪೆ ಚಟ್ನಿ | Best out of waste | Healthy chutney | Traditional Brahmin home style recipe

Orange Peel Chutney / ಕಿತ್ತಳೆ ಸಿಪ್ಪೆ ಚಟ್ನಿ  Ingredients Required Orange peel - peel of half big orange ( or as much as required) Red chillies (Byadagi) - 7 to 8 Tamarind - small lemon sized Jaggery - 2 tbsp oil - 3 to 4 tsp Coconut - 2 tbsp Curry Leaves - 1 tsp Mustard seeds - 1 tsp Salt - As per the taste Water - As much as required Method of Preparation Soak the tamarind for 10 to 15 minutes in water.  Take a pan add 1 to 2 tsp of oil , once oil is heated add 5 to 6 redchillies and fry them for a minute. Now take a mixer jar add these fried redchillies, orange peel ( break them to smaller pieces), soaked tamarind, coconut and salt. Grind them to a coarse paste. Once its grinded to coarse paste add jaggery and water as much as required to the mixer jar. Again grind them all together to a fine paste. Now use the same pan which was used earlier for frying and add 2 tsp of oil to it. Once oil is heated add mustard seeds, 2 broken redchillies and curry lea

Tukkudi / Khara Shankarpoli / Famous Mangalore Snack

Tukkudi / ತುಕ್ಕುಡಿ / Khara Shankarpoli Ingredients Required: Wheat flour - 1 &1/2 cup Maida - 1/2 cup Sugar powder - 2 tbsp redchilli powder - 2 tsp oil   -  2 tbsp (For mixing) oil     -  for frying salt  -  as per the taste water  - As required  Method of Preparation: Take a mixing bowl add wheat flour, maida, salt, redchilli powder and sugar powder mix them well so that there are no lumps. Heat 2 tbsp of oil. Mix the heated oil to the mixture and mix it with spoon. once oil cools down then mix them using hands. Check whether all the mixture holds tightly, when it is taken within the fist. Then your mixture is perfect. Now add little by little water and form a dough which is neither too hard nor too soft which has medium texture. Now divide the mixture to equal portioned balls  Roll these balls as similar as we roll for chapati, but not thin as chapatis. Now cut them to square or diamond shape using cutter or knife. Masala Tea with Tea masala preparation / ಮಸಾಲಾ ಚಹಾ

Masala Tea / ಮಸಾಲಾ ಚಹಾ  Ingredients Required: For Tea Masala : Cinnamon - 5 inch Cloves - 10 in numbers Cardamom - 20 in numbers Black pepper - 1 1/2 tsp Nutmeg - 1/4 the part of a Nutmeg Ginger powder - 2 tsp For Tea : Milk - 3/4 glass Water - 1/4 glass Tea powder - 1 tsp Sugar - 1 tsp Tea Masala - 1/4 tsp Method of Preparation: To prepare tea masala take a pan and dry roast cardamom, cinnamon, black pepper, cloves and nutmeg in a slow flame for a minute, so that its moisture evaporates. Now cool down the mixture and put them to a mixer jar with dry ginger powder. Grind them to fine powder. Now Tea masala is ready. Store it till 2 months. For Tea take a sauce pan, add water and milk to it. Once the water and milk mixture comes to boil add tea powder and tea masala powder. Stir it well and then add sugar to it. Chutney pudi | Mixed dal chutney powder

Chutney powder ಚಟ್ನಿ ಪುಡಿ   Ingredients Required Channa dal - 1 cup Moong dal - 1/2 cup Urad dal  - 1/4 Cup Red chillis - 7 to 8 Curry leaves - 1 cup Jaggery - 1/2 cup Dry coconut  - 1/2 cup Hing - 4 pinch Tamarind - 1/2 lemon sized Salt - as per the taste Method of Preparation Fry Channa dal, Moong dal and urad dal without oil separately and keep a side. Fry red chilli, curry leaves and dry coconut with little bit of oil one by one separately. Initially grind channa dal to a coarse powder in mixer. Now add all other ingredients to mixer jar and powder them to a smooth texture. Don't add any water to grind. Now Chutney powder is ready to serve. Note: Serve the chatni powder with idli or dosa,  it will be very tasty. ಬೇಕಾಗುವ ಸಾಮಗ್ರಿಗಳು  ಕಡ್ಲೆ ಬೇಳೆ  - 1 ಕಪ್  ಹೆಸರುಬೇಳೆ - 1/2ಕಪ್  ಉದ್ದಿನಬೇಳೆ  - 1/4 ಕಪ್ ಕೆಂಪು ಮೆಣಸು - 7 to 8 ಕರಿಬೇವು ಸೊಪ್ಪು - 1 ಕಪ್  ಬೆಲ್ಲ - 1/2 ಕಪ್  ಒಣ ಕೊಬ್ಬರಿ - 1/2 ಕಪ್  ಇಂಗು  - 4 ಪಿಂಚ್  ಹುಳಿ  - 1/2 ನಿಂಬೆ ಗಾತ್ರದ್ದು  ಉಪ್

Moong dal tadka | Thove  ಹೆಸರುಬೇಳೆ ಸಾರು । ತೋವೆ   Ingredients Required : moong dal  - 1 Cup Green chillis  - 2 to 3 Ginger - 1 inch Red chillis - 2 Coriander leaves  - 2 table spoon Turmeric powder - 1/4 table spoon Salt - as per the taste oil - 3 table spoon Mustard seeds - 1/2 table spoon Hing - 4 pinch Method of Preparation : Add moong dal, oil, turmeric powder, salt and water to a cooker  cook for 2 whistle, if dal is not pre soaked cook for 4 whistle once dal is cooked shift it to another bowl and add green chillis, grated ginger, hing and coriander leaves  Mix them well , check the consistency and based on it add more water and salt if required. keep it for boil. Now take another pan add oil, once it is heated add mustard seeds, red chillis and curry leaves fry them for 15 seconds. Now add hing to it and add this to the dal mixture. let the dal mixer boil for 5 min, now moong dal tadka is ready. Note: Thove is tasty to serve with rice

Sweet Corn Rice | Tiffin Box recipe | Simple and Easy to prepare

    Sweet Corn Rice/ ಸ್ವೀಟ್ ಕಾರ್ನ್ ರೈಸ್  Ingredients Required: Sweet corn - 1 cup Garam masala - 1 tsp Redchilli powder - 1 tsp Coriander powder - 1 tsp Jeera - 1 tsp Oil - 1 Tbsp Rice - 1 cup (Basmati or Sonamasoori) Salt - As per the taste (or 1 tsp) Coriander leaves - 2 tbsp ( As per the taste) Crushed Ginger - Garlic - 2 tsp ( or Ginger garlic paste) Water - 2 1/2 cup ( or as much as required) Method of Preparation: Presoak rice for atleast 20 min. In a cooker add oil, once its heated add jeera and allow it to splutter. Once jeera is spluttered add crushed ginger-garlic and saute them well. Now add sweet corn and rice, saute them well for 2 minute.  At this stage add coriander powder and redchilli powder, saute them well for a minute. Now add water, Garam masala powder, salt and coriander leaves, mix them well and close the cooker and allow it to have two whistles. Once cooker cools down easy, simple yet delicious sweet corn rice is ready to serv

Instant Urad dal idli | ಧಿಡೀರ್ ಉದ್ದಿನ ಇಡ್ಲಿ |Dideer uddina idli

Instant Urad dal Idli | No Rice Idli  ಧಿಡೀರ್ ಉದ್ದಿನ ಇಡ್ಲಿ  Ingredients Required Urad dal  - 1 Cup Green chillis  - 1 to 2 Ginger - 1 inch Water - 1/2 cup Coriander leaves  - 2 table spoon Salt - as per the taste Eno - 1/4 table spoon Method of Preparation Soak the Urad dal for 1 hour in water. After 1 hour rinse the Urad dal Now add rinsed  urad dal, green chillis, ginger, coriander leaves, salt and water to the mixer jar. Grind them to course paste. Once it is grinded add Eno to the batter and mix well. Pre heat the steamer with water  for 3 min,  Now pour the idli battle to the idli maker and steam it for 10 to 12 min Dhideer Urad dal Idli is ready . Note: Serve the idli with pickle and coconut oil it will be very tasty. Its a easy and healthy breakfast. ಬೇಕಾಗುವ ಸಾಮಗ್ರಿಗಳು  ಉದ್ದಿನಬೇಳೆ   - 1 ಕಪ್  ಹಸಿಮೆಣಸು   - 1 to 2 ಶುಂಠಿ - 1 ಇಂಚ್  ನೀರು  - 1/2 ಕಪ್  ಕೊತ್ತಂಬರಿ ಸೊಪ್ಪು - 2 ಟೇಬಲ್ ಸ್ಪೂನ್  ಉಪ್ಪು - ರುಚಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಕಷ್ಟು  Eno - 1/4 ಟೇಬಲ್ ಸ್ಪೂನ್  ಮಾ

Kokum Rasam

Kokum Rasam Ingredients Required Kokum - 2 to 3 Jaggery - 2 tbsp Salt - as per the taste Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp whole red chillies - 3 to 4 oil - 1 tsp Water - 2 cups Curry Leaves - 4 to 5 Leaves Method of Preparation Soak kokum for 30 minutes as pre preparation. Take a pan, add oil and once oil is heated add mustard seeds and garlic. Wait until garlic changes its color to light brown and mustard splutters. Now add redchillies and curry leaves fry for 30 seconds. Now add kokum soaked water, add jaggery, salt and water then get them to boil. Once its boiled allow them to boil further till 7 to 8 min. Now Kokum rasam is ready. Note : Kokum rasam cane be served with hot rice or can also be drunk as a health drink.
