Kokum Rasam

Kokum Rasam

Ingredients Required

  • Kokum - 2 to 3
  • Jaggery - 2 tbsp
  • Salt - as per the taste
  • Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • whole red chillies - 3 to 4
  • oil - 1 tsp
  • Water - 2 cups
  • Curry Leaves - 4 to 5 Leaves

Method of Preparation

  • Soak kokum for 30 minutes as pre preparation.
  • Take a pan, add oil and once oil is heated add mustard seeds and garlic. Wait until garlic changes its color to light brown and mustard splutters. Now add redchillies and curry leaves fry for 30 seconds.
  • Now add kokum soaked water, add jaggery, salt and water then get them to boil.
  • Once its boiled allow them to boil further till 7 to 8 min.
  • Now Kokum rasam is ready.

Note : Kokum rasam cane be served with hot rice or can also be drunk as a health drink. If cold persists add some black pepper to rasam.


ಪುನರ್ಪುಳಿ ಸಾರು

ಬೇಕಾಗುವ ಪದಾರ್ಥಗಳು :

  • ಪುನರ್ಪುಳಿ ಓಡು  - 2 to 3
  • ಬೆಲ್ಲ- 2 tbsp
  • ಉಪ್ಪು  - ರುಚಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಕಷ್ಟು
  • ಸಾಸಿವೆ  - 1/2 tsp
  • ಕೆಂಪು ಮೆಣಸು  - 3 to 4
  • ಎಣ್ಣೆ  - 1 tsp
  • ನೀರು - 2 cups
  • ಕರಿಬೇವು - 4 to 5 Leaves
  • ಬೆಳ್ಳುಳಿ- 3 to 4 ಎಲೆ

ಮಾಡುವ ವಿಧಾನ :

  • ಪುನರ್ಪುಳಿ ಓಡನ್ನು ೨೦ ರಿಂದ ೩೦ ನಿಮಿಷಗಳ ಕಾಲಅರ್ಧ ಕಪ್  ನೀರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನೆನೆ ಹಾಕಬೇಕು
  • ಒಂದು ಬಾಣಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎಣ್ಣೆ ಹಾಕಿ ಅದು ಕಾದ ನಂತರ ಸಾಸಿವೆ , ಬೆಳ್ಳುಳ್ಳಿ ಹಾಕಿ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ತಿರುವಬೇಕು . ಸಾಸಿವೆ  ಒಡೆದು ,ಬೆಳ್ಳುಳ್ಳಿ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಬಣ್ಣ ಬದಲಯಿಸಿದಾಗ ಕೆಂಪುಮೆಣಸನ್ನು ಎರಡು ಭಾಗ ಮಾಡಿ ಹಾಕಬೇಕು .
  • .ನಂತರ ಕರಿಬೇವು ಹಾಕಿ ೨೦ ಸೆಕೆಂಡುಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಕೈಯಾಡಿಸಬೇಕು 
  • ಈಗ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಪುನರ್ಪುಳಿ ನೆನೆಸಿದ ನೀರನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿ,ನಂತರ ಉಳಿದ  ವರೆ ಕಪ್ ನೀರನ್ನು ಕೂಡ ಹಾಕಬೇಕು .
  • ನೀರು ಬಿಸಿಯಾದನಂತರ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ  ಬೆಲ್ಲ , ಉಪ್ಪು  ಹಾಕಿ  ರಿಂದ  ನಿಮಿಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಕುಡಿಯಲು ಬಿಡಬೇಕು
  • ಈಗ ರುಚಿಕರವಾದ ಮತ್ತು ಆರೋಗ್ಯಕರ ಪುನರ್ಪುಳಿ ಸಾರು ತಯಾರಾಗಿದೆ.

It is very easy to prepare, the only thing is you have to soak the Bengal gram 3 to 4 hours before.
