 Raagi Cookies | Raagi Biscuits | ರಾಗಿ ಬಿಸ್ಕತ್ । ರಾಗಿ ಕುಕೀಸ್ 



Better way of having healthy food is preparing it in the way you like. Raagi is a healthy grain, but many doesn't like it, especially kids. So, raagi cookie is the best way to have it and also make kids to have it. So do try it and share your opinion.

Ingredients Required

  • Raagi flour - 1 Cup
  • Wheat flour - 1/4 Cup
  • Ghee - 1/4 Cup
  • Sugar Powder - 1/3 Cup
  • Salt - 2 Pinch
  • Coco powder - 1 Tsp
  • Butterscotch / Vanilla Essence - 1/2 Tsp (Optional)
  • Milk - 2 Tsp (Optional)

Method of Preparation

  • Sieve raagi flour, wheat flour and sugar powder.
  • To a bowl add sugar powder and ghee, beat it (whisk it) to a creamy texture.
  • To this creamy texture add salt and coco powder, mix it well.
  • Now add Raagi flour and wheat flour to this mixture and combine well to form a cookie dough.
  • If required add some milk to form a perfect dough.
  • Preheat a pan for 10 minutes in medium flame.
  • Grease a plate with ghee.
  • Place small cookie sized ball on them.
  • place this plate in preheated pan and bake for 10 minutes in low flame.
  • Healthy and delicious Raagi biscuits are ready to serve.
Tips
  • Instead of ghee even melted butter of same quantity can be used.
  • Sugar can be replaced by jaggery powder. 
  • Ensure to place the lid in such a way that excess heat can move out.
  • If you are baking in oven, bake it in 170 degree celsius for 12 minutes in preheated oven.

ಬೇಕಾಗುವ ಸಾಮಗ್ರಿಗಳು 

  • ರಾಗಿ ಹಿಟ್ಟು - ೧ ಕಪ್ 
  • ಗೋಧಿ ಹಿಟ್ಟು - ೧/೪ ಕಪ್ 
  • ತುಪ್ಪ - ೧/೪ ಕಪ್ 
  • ಸಕ್ಕರೆ ಪುಡಿ - ೧/೩ ಕಪ್ 
  • ಉಪ್ಪು - ೨ ಚಿಟಿಕೆ 
  • ಕೋಕೋ ಪೌಡರ್ - ೧ ಟೀ ಚಮಚ 
  • ಬಟ್ಟೇರ್ಸ್ಕಾಚ್ / ವೆನಿಲ್ಲಾ ಎಸೆನ್ಸ್ - ೧/೨ ಟೀ ಚಮಚ (ಓಪ್ಷನಲ್ )
  • ಹಾಲು - ೨ ಟೀ ಚಮಚ 

ಮಾಡುವ ವಿಧಾನ 

  • ಮೊದಲಿಗೆ ಗೋಧಿ ಹಿಟ್ಟು, ರಾಗಿ ಹಿಟ್ಟು ಹಾಗೆ ಸಕ್ಕರೆ ಪುಡಿಯನ್ನು ಜರಡಿ ಹಿಡಿದು ಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. 
  • ಇನ್ನು ಒಂದು ಪಾತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಸಕ್ಕರೆ ಪುಡಿ ಮತ್ತು ತುಪ್ಪ ಹಾಕಿ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಬೆರೆಸಬೇಕು. ಈ ಮಿಶ್ರಣ ಬೆಣ್ಣೆಯಂತೆ ಆಗುವ ತನಕ ಇದನ್ನು ಬೆರೆಸಬೇಕು. 
  • ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಉಪ್ಪು ಮತ್ತು ಕೋಕೋ ಪೌಡರ್ ಹಾಕಿ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಬೆರೆಸಬೇಕು. 
  • ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ರಾಗಿ ಹಿಟ್ಟು ಮತ್ತು ಗೋಧಿ ಹಿಟ್ಟು ಹಾಕಿ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಕಯ್ಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆರೆಸಬೇಕು. ಇದು ಚಪಾತಿ ಹಿಟ್ಟಿನ ಹದಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುವ ತನಕ. 
  • ಒಂದು ಪ್ಲೇಟ್ ಗೆ ತುಪ್ಪ ಸವರಿ ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಸಣ್ಣ ಸಣ್ಣ ಕುಕೀ ಮಾಡಿ ಇಡುತ್ತ ಹೋಗಬೇಕು. 
  • ಇನ್ನು ಒಲೆಮೇಲೆ ಒಂದು ಬಾಣಲೆ ಅಥವ ಕುಕ್ಕರ್ ಇಟ್ಟು ೧೦ ನಿಮಿಷ  ಪ್ರಿ ಹೀಟ್ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. 
  • ಇನ್ನು ಉರಿ ಯನ್ನು ಸಿಮ್ ಮಾಡಿ ಇದರ ಒಳಗೆ ಒಂದು ಸ್ಟ್ಯಾಂಡಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಕೀ ಪ್ಲೇಟನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟು  ಮುಚ್ಚಳ ಮುಚ್ಚಿ ೧೦ ನಿಮಿಷ ಬೇಕ್  ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಆರೋಗ್ಯಕರವಾದ ರಾಗಿ ಬಿಸ್ಕತ್ ಅಥವಾ ರಾಗಿ ಕುಕೀ ತಯಾರಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. 
  •  ಈ ಬಿಸ್ಕತ್ ತಣಿದ ನಂತರ ಪ್ಲೇಟ್ ನಿಂದ ತೆಗೆಯಬೇಕು. ಬಿಸಿ ಇದ್ದಾಗ ತೆಗೆದರೆ ಒಡೆಯುವ ಸಂಭವ ಜಾಸ್ತಿ.

Kokum Rasam

Kokum Rasam Ingredients Required Kokum - 2 to 3 Jaggery - 2 tbsp Salt - as per the taste Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp whole red chillies - 3 to 4 oil - 1 tsp Water - 2 cups Curry Leaves - 4 to 5 Leaves Method of Preparation Soak kokum for 30 minutes as pre preparation. Take a pan, add oil and once oil is heated add mustard seeds and garlic. Wait until garlic changes its color to light brown and mustard splutters. Now add redchillies and curry leaves fry for 30 seconds. Now add kokum soaked water, add jaggery, salt and water then get them to boil. Once its boiled allow them to boil further till 7 to 8 min. Now Kokum rasam is ready. Note : Kokum rasam cane be served with hot rice or can also be drunk as a health drink.
