Jam, this word gets an amazing smile on kids. They feel happy to have jam with any food. But the jam which we get in market is full of preservatives and that is not good to them. So best way to make them happy is to prepare jam at home.

Here were are happy to share the recipe of strawberry jam, which uses only two ingredients. Strawberry is high in season during winters. We get the best and fresh strawberries in market. So this is the best time to try this recipe. Do try it and share your experience with us.

Ingredients Required

  • Strawberry - 1 Cup (Sliced to 4 pieces)
  • Sugar - 1 Cup

Method of preparation 

  • To a bowl add sliced strawberry and sugar , mix it well , rest it for 30 minutes.
  • After 30 minutes grind the strawberry with sugar to fine paste.
  • Now puree is ready.
  • To a pan add strawberry puree, heat on the flame.
  • Keep on stirring until color of jam darkens. It takes around 5 to 7 minutes to cook.
  • Now strawberry jam is ready to use. Store in an airtight container in fridge. Store it and use whenever required.
Tips
  • Do not add water to grind strawberry. If we add water stirring time increases and life span of strawberry jam will be reduced.
  • For the perfect color strain grinded puree before cooking.

ಬೇಕಾಗುವ ಸಾಮಗ್ರಿಗಳು 

  • ಸ್ಟ್ರಾಬೆರಿ - ೧ ಕಪ್ 
  • ಸಕ್ಕರೆ - ೩/೪ ಕಪ್ 

ಮಾಡುವ ವಿಧಾನ 

  • ಮೊದಲಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಪಾತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ತುಂಡರಿಸಿದಂತಹ ಸ್ಟ್ರಾಬೆರಿ ಮತ್ತು  ಸಕ್ಕರೆ ಹಾಕಿ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಬೆರೆಸಬೇಕು. 
  • ಈ ಮಿಶ್ರಣವನ್ನು ೩೦ ನಿಮಿಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಮುಚ್ಚಿ ಇಡಬೇಕು. 
  • ೩೦ ನಿಮಿಷಗಳ ನಂತರ ಇದನ್ನು ನುಣ್ಣಗೆ ರುಬ್ಬಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. 
  • ಇನ್ನು ಒಂದು ಬಾಣಲೆಗೆ ರುಬ್ಬಿಕೊಂಡ ಮಿಶ್ರಣವನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿ ಗ್ಯಾಸ್ ಆನ್ ಮಾಡಿ ಬೆರೆಸಬೇಕು. ರುಬ್ಬಿದ ಮಿಶ್ರಣದ ಬನ್ನಿ ಕಡು ಕೆಂಪು ಆದ ನಂತರ ಗ್ಯಾಸ್ ಆಫ್ ಮಾಡಿ, ತಣಿಸಿ ಗಾಳಿಯಾಡದ ಬಾಟಲಿ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಕಿ ಫ್ರಿಡ್ಜ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಶೇಖರಿಸಿದರೆ ಸ್ಟ್ರಾಬೆರಿ ಜಾಮ್ ರೆಡಿ.
