Curd Sandwich / ಮೊಸರು ಸ್ಯಾಂಡ್ವಿಚ್ 




Curd Sandwich is a simple yet delicious recipe. If this sandwich is made using Brown bread then it is the healthiest recipe for breakfast as well as dinner. Sandwich is all time favorite recipe for kids. So it is the best way to make them consume vegetables. This sandwich also contains curd which is a great source of protein. So this recipe is a perfect healthy diet. Mixture of Curd, vegetables and bread makes this a perfect , power packed lunch box recipe. Do try it and share your experience.

Ingredients required

  • Bread slices - 8 piece
  • Curd - 1 Cup
  • Redchilli powder - 1/2 Tsp
  • Garam Masala powder - 1/2 Tsp
  • Cumin powder - 1/4 Tsp
  • Chat masala - 1/4 Tsp
  • Salt - As per the taste
  • Tomato - 1 Thinly sliced
  • Onion - 1 Thinly sliced
  • Cucumber - 1 Thinly sliced
  • Carrot - 1/2 Thinly sliced
  • Butter - 4 Tsp

Method of Preparation 

  • On a bowl place sieve, pour curd, allow the excess water of curd to strain. Keep it as it is for 30 minutes.
  • After 30 minutes remove the strained water. Add curd to bowl, add redchilli powder, garam masala, cumin powder, chat masala and salt. Mix it well so that all masala's are combined.
  • Slice all the vegetables as per the requirement.
  • Heat a pan, add butter, place two bread slices, after 30 seconds flip the bread and smear butter on the other side. Now apply curd mixture on both bread slices, place vegetables , sprinkle chat masala, place one bread upon another and cook it until it turns brown and crisp. Cook in medium flame.
  • Delicious, yet simple and healthy curd sandwich is ready to serve. Serve it with green chutney or tomato ketchup.

Tips:
  • If curd is sour, reduce the amount of chat masala to balance the flavours.
  • As we strain the water out from curd, it also reduces the sourness of curd.
  • Instead on garam masala, pizza pasta mix can also be added. It tastes even better.

  • ಬ್ರೆಡ್ - ೮ ಪೀಸ್ 
  • ಖಾರದ ಪುಡಿ - ೧/೨ ಟೀ ಚಮಚ 
  • ಜೀರಿಗೆ ಪುಡಿ - ೧/೪ ಟೀ ಚಮಚ 
  • ಗರಂ ಮಸಾಲಾ - ೧/೨ ಟೀ ಚಮಚ 
  • ಚಾಟ್ ಮಸಲಾ - ೧/೪ ಟೀ ಚಮಚ 
  • ಉಪ್ಪು - ರುಚಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಕಷ್ಟು 
  • ಟೊಮೇಟೊ - ೧ ತೆಳ್ಳಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿದ್ದು 
  • ಈರುಳ್ಳಿ - ೧ ತೆಳ್ಳಗೆ ಹಚ್ಚಿದ್ದು 
  • ಮುಳ್ಳುಸೌತೆ - ೧ ತೆಳ್ಳಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿದ್ದು 
  • ಕ್ಯಾರಟ್ - ೧/೨ ತೆಳ್ಳಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿದ್ದು 
  • ಬೆಣ್ಣೆ - ೪ ಟೀ ಚಮಚ 

ಮಾಡುವ ವಿಧಾನ 

  • ಒಂದು ಪಾತ್ರೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಜರಡಿ ಇಟ್ಟು ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಮೊಸರನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿ ಅದರ ನೀರು ಇಳಿಯಲು ೩೦ ನಿಮಿಷ ಬಿಡಬೇಕು. 
  • ೩೦ ನಿಮಿಷದ ನಂತರ ಆ ಮೊಸರನ್ನು ಬೇರೊಂದು ಪಾತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಹಾಕಿ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಖಾರ ಪುಡಿ, ಗರಂ ಮಸಲಾ , ಜೀರಿಗೆ ಪುಡಿ, ಚಾಟ್ ಮಸಾಲಾ ಮತ್ತು  ಉಪ್ಪು ಹಾಕಿ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಕಲಸಬೇಕು. 
  • ಬೇಕಾದ ತರಕಾರಿಗಳನ್ನು ವೃತ್ತಾಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ತುಂಡರಿಸಿ ತಯಾರಿ ಮಾಡಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. 
  • ಇನ್ನು ಒಂದು ಬಾಣಲೆ ಬಿಸಿ ಮಾಡಿ ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಬೆಣ್ಣೆ ಸವರಿ ೨ ಬ್ರೆಡ್ ಪೀಸ್ ಅನ್ನು ಇಡಬೇಕು. ಇನ್ನು ೩೦ ಸೆಕೆಂಡುಗಳ ನಂತರ ಬ್ರೆಡ್ ನ್ನು ತಿರುಗಿಸಿ ಮತ್ತೆ ಬೆಣ್ಣೆ ಹಾಕಬೇಕು. ಇನ್ನು ಇದರ ಮೇಲೆ ತಯಾರಿಸಿದ ಮೊಸರಿನ ಮಿಶ್ರಣವನ್ನು ಸವರಿ ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ತರಕಾರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಜೋಡಿಸಿ , ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಚಾಟ್ ಮಸಾಲಾ ಉದುರಿಸಿ, ಒಂದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ಬ್ರೆಡ್ ಸ್ಲೈಸ್ ಇಟ್ಟು  ಕಂದು  ಬಣ್ಣ ಬರುವ ತನಕ ಕಾಯಿಸಬೇಕು. ಈ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ ಉರಿ ಅಥವಾ ಸಣ್ಣ ಉರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು. 
  • ಈಗ ಸ್ವಾದಿಷ್ಟವಾದ ಮೊಸರು ಸ್ಯಾಂಡ್ವಿಚ್ ತಯಾರಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದನ್ನು ಕೆಚಪ್ ಅಥವಾ ಹಸಿರು ಚಟ್ನಿ ಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸರ್ವ್ ಮಾಡಿ.

Kokum Rasam

Kokum Rasam Ingredients Required Kokum - 2 to 3 Jaggery - 2 tbsp Salt - as per the taste Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp whole red chillies - 3 to 4 oil - 1 tsp Water - 2 cups Curry Leaves - 4 to 5 Leaves Method of Preparation Soak kokum for 30 minutes as pre preparation. Take a pan, add oil and once oil is heated add mustard seeds and garlic. Wait until garlic changes its color to light brown and mustard splutters. Now add redchillies and curry leaves fry for 30 seconds. Now add kokum soaked water, add jaggery, salt and water then get them to boil. Once its boiled allow them to boil further till 7 to 8 min. Now Kokum rasam is ready. Note : Kokum rasam cane be served with hot rice or can also be drunk as a health drink.
