Ridge gourd peel chutney / heerekayi peel chutney / ಹೀರೆಕಾಯಿ ಸಿಪ್ಪೆ ಚಟ್ನಿ / ಸುಲಭವಾದ ಚಟ್ನಿ ತಯಾರಿಕೆ
Ridge gourdchutney is very easy to prepare and it is very healthy too. riadge gourd consist a very good vitamin. try this recipe at home. it is a combination of ridge gourd peel, coconut, red chili, tamarind, jagger. very tasty recipe. very tasty to have with rice, dosa and chapathi.
Ingredients required :
- Ridge gourd peel - 1 cup
- Oil - 1 tsp
- Red chili - 2 + 1
- Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
- Tamarind - half small lemon sized
- Jaggery- half small lemon sized
- Salt - as per the taste
- Water - as per the requirement
- Coriander leaves - 2 to 3 tsp
- Grated coconut - 4 tsp
- Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
- Curry leaves - 4 to 5 leaves
Method of Preparation :
- Boil the ridge gourd peel for 5 to 10 minutes.
- Leave it to cool down.
- Now keep a pan add oil to it. Once oil is heated add red chili and cumin seeds fry for a minutes.
- Take a mixi jar add fried masala items, coconut , tamarind, jaggery, boiled ridge gourd peel and salt. Grind them to fine paste.
- Now take another pan add oil to it. Once oil is heated add red chilli , mustard seeds and curry leaves.
- Fry for a minute. Now add grounded paste to it. Boil to 30 seconds.
- Add coriander leaves and mix well.
- Now your ridge gourd peel chutney is ready.

- ಹೀರೆಕಾಯಿ ಸಿಪ್ಪೆ - ೧ಕಪ್
- ಕೆಂಪು ಮೆಣಸು - ೨ + ೧
- ಜೀರಿಗೆ - ೧ ಟೀ ಚಮಚ
- ತೆಂಗಿನಕಾಯಿ ತೂರಿ - ೪ ಟೀ ಚಮಚ
- ಹುಣಸೆ ಹುಳಿ - ಸಣ್ಣ ಲಿಂಬೆ ಹುಲಿ ಗಾತ್ರದಷ್ಟು
- ಬೆಲ್ಲ - ಸಣ್ಣ ಲಿಂಬೆ ಹುಲಿ ಗಾತ್ರದಷ್ಟು
- ಉಪ್ಪು - ರುಚಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಕಸ್ಟು
- ಸಾಸಿವೆ - ೧ ಟೀ ಚಮಚ
- ಕೊತ್ತಂಬರಿ ಸೊಪ್ಪು - ೨ ರಿಂದ ೩ ಟೀ ಚಮಚ
- ಕರಿಬೇವಿನ ಸೊಪ್ಪು - ೪ ರಿಂದ ೫ ಎಸಳು
- ನೀರು - ಬೇಕಾದಷ್ಟು
