Cabbage Palya | Cabbage curry | Cabbage thoran | ಕ್ಯಾಬೇಜ್ ಪಲ್ಯ 


Cabbage palya is a very easy and quick recipe. You all know that vegetables are very good for health. Even this cabbage is also very good to keep bad cholesterol low and it's very good to keep your stomach and intestine strong. If you eat this little it fills your stomach very soon. try this at home. 

Ingredients Required :

  • Cabbage - 2 cup
  • Oil - 2 tsp
  • Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  • Urad dal - 1 tsp
  • Red chili - 2
  • Curry leaves -  1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/ 4 tsp
  • Jaggery - 3/4 tsp
  • Salt - As per the taste 
  • Water - As per the requirement
  • Grated coconut - 2 tbsp

Method of Preparation :

  • Initially take a pan, add oil to it. Once the oil is heated add mustard seeds, urad dal, curry leaves, red chili fry for 30 seconds.
  • Now add cabbage and fry for 3 minutes in oil. 
  • Now add Turmeric powder, salt, and jaggery, fry it again for 5 minutes.
  • Now add water and fry until cabbage cook. 
  • Once the cabbage is cooked add grated coconut and mix them well
  • Now your Cabbage Palya is ready 

ಬೇಕಾಗುವ ಸಾಮಗ್ರಿಗಳು :

  • ಕ್ಯಾಬೇಜ್ - ೨ ಕಪ್ 
  • ಎಣ್ಣೆ - ೨ ಟೀ ಚಮಚ 
  • ಸಾಸಿವೆ - ೧ ಟೀ ಚಮಚ 
  • ಉದ್ದಿನಬೇಳೆ - ೧ ಟೀ ಚಮಚ 
  • ಕೆಂಪುಮೆಣಸು - ೨
  • ಕರಿಬೇವಿನ ಎಲೆ - ೧ ಟೀ ಚಮಚ 
  • ಅರಶಿನ ಪುಡಿ - ೧/೪ ಟೀ ಚಮಚ 
  • ಬೆಲ್ಲ - ೩/೪ ಟೀ ಚಮಚ 
  • ಉಪ್ಪು - ರುಚಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಕಷ್ಟು 
  • ನೀರು - ಬೇಕಾದಷ್ಟು 
  • ತೆಂಗಿನಕಾಯಿ ತೂರಿ - ೨ ಟೇಬಲ್ ಚಮಚ 

ಮಾಡುವ ವಿಧಾನ :

  • ಮೊದಲಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಬಾಣಲೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಎಣ್ಣೆ ಹಾಕಬೇಕು. ಎಣ್ಣೆ ಬಿಸಿ ಆದ ನಂತರ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಸಿವೆ, ಉದ್ದಿನಬೇಳೆ, ಕರಿಬೇವು, ಕೆಂಪುಮೆಣಸು ಹಾಕಿ ೩೦ ಸೆಕೆಂಡುಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಫ್ರೈ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು. 
  • ಈಗ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಕ್ಯಾಬೇಜ್ ಹಾಕಿ ೩ ನಿಮಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಫ್ರೈ ಮಾಡಿ. 
  • ನಂತರ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅರಶಿನದ ಪುಡಿ, ಬೆಲ್ಲ ಮತ್ತು ಉಪ್ಪು ಹಾಕಿ ಮತ್ತೆ ೫ ನಿಮಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಫ್ರೈ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು. 
  • ಈಗ ಅದ್ಕಕೆ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ನೀರು ಹಾಕಿ ಬೈಯಲು ಬಿಡಬೇಕು. 
  • ಕ್ಯಾಬೇಜ್ ಬೆಂದ ನಂತರ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾಯಿತುರಿ ಹಾಕಿ ಮಿಕ್ಸ್ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಕ್ಯಾಬೇಜ್ ಪಲ್ಯ ತಯಾರಾಗಿದೆ.

It is very easy to prepare, the only thing is you have to soak the Bengal gram 3 to 4 hours before.
