Cucumber paddu recipe is very special for Lord Ganapathi. This recipe is specially done on the day of Ganesha Chaturthi. this is a very traditional recipe. This recipe is done by using rice. It is a very easy recipe. Lord Ganesha likes to eat more foods so people will prepare different types of dishes on that day.


Try this recipe on the Ganesha festival day. It is a quick recipe too. Most of the Dakshina Kannada and Udupi people will prepare this recipe. This recipe is a combination of rice, jaggery, and cucumber. You all know that cucumber is very good for health.

Ingredients Required :

  • Rice - 1 cup
  • Jaggery - 1.25 cup
  • Cucumber - 1
  • Salt - 1 Pinch
  • Grated coconut - 1/2 cup
  • Ghee - 2 to 3 tsp

Method of Preparation : 

  • Initially soak the rice in water for 1 hour.
  • Then drain the water from it.
  • Now take a mixer jar to add rice, jaggery, salt, and grated coconut.
  • Grind them well.
  • Now add cucumber and grind them to fine paste.
  • Batter consistency should be like dosa batter consistency.
  • Now take paddu Tawa and put ghee to it.
  • Once Tawa is heated pour paddu batter to it. cook one side for 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Now flip the paddu to other side and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Now your paddu is ready to Serve.

ಬೇಕಾಗುವ ಸಾಮಗ್ರಿಗಳು :

  • ಅಕ್ಕಿ - ೧ ಕಪ್ 
  • ಬೆಲ್ಲ - ೧. ಕಪ್ 
  • ಉಪ್ಪು - ೧ ಪಿಂಚ್ 
  • ತೆಂಗಿನಕಾಯಿ ತುರಿ - ೧/೨ ಕಪ್ 
  • ತುಪ್ಪ - ೨ ರಿಂದ ೩ ಟೀ ಚಮಚ 
  • ಮುಳ್ಳು ಸೌತೆ ಅಥವಾ ಸೌತೆಕಾಯಿ - ೧

ಮಾಡುವ ವಿಧಾನ :

  • ಮೊದಲಿಗೆ ಅಕ್ಕಿಯನ್ನು ಒಂದು ಗಂಟೆಗಳ ನೀರಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನೆಹಾಕಬೇಕು. 
  • ನಂತರ ಅದನ್ನು ನೀರಿಂದ ಬೇರ್ಪಡಿಸಿ ಮಿಕ್ಸಿ ಜಾರ್ ಗೆ ಹಾಕಿ. ಅದೇ ಮಿಕ್ಸಿ ಜಾರ್ ಗೆ ಬೆಲ್ಲ, ಉಪ್ಪು ಮತ್ತು ತೆಂಗಿನಕಾಯಿ ಹಾಕಿ  ನುಣ್ಣಗೆ ರುಬ್ಬಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. 
  • ಈಗ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಳ್ಳುಸೌತೆ ಹಾಕಿ ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ರುಬ್ಬಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. 
  • ಹಿಟ್ಟು ದೋಸೆ ಹಿಟ್ಟಿನ ಹದ ಇರಬೇಕು. 
  • ಈಗ  ಪಡ್ಡು ತವ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಗ್ಯಾಸ್ ಆನ್ ಮಾಡಿ. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ತುಪ್ಪ ಹಾಕಿ. 
  • ತವ ಬಿಸಿ ಆದನಂತರ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಹಿಟ್ಟು ಹಾಕಿ ಬೇಯಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. 
  • ಒಂದು ಸೈಡ್ ೩ ರಿಂದ ೪ ನಿಮಷಗಳ ತನಕ ಬಯ್ಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. ನಂತರ ಅದನ್ನು ಫ್ಲಿಪ್ ಮಾಡಿ ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ಬದಿ ಕೂಡ ೨ ನಿಮಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಬೇಯಿಸಬೇಕು. 
  • ಈಗ ಮುಳ್ಳುಸೌತೆ  ಪಡ್ಡು ತಯಾರಾಗಿದೆ.

Avalakki Pancha Kajjaya । ಅವಲಕ್ಕಿ ಪಂಚಕಜ್ಜಾಯ । Ganesha Chaturthi nivedya recipe  Avalakki pancha kajjaya is very simple recipe. Bachelor's also can prepare this recipe on ganesha festival day. This recipe is very great for lord Ganesha.   Ingredients Required : Jaggery - 3/4 cup Water - 3 tbsp Ghee - 1 tbsp Grated Coconut - 1/2 cup Yelachi - 1/4 tsp Avalakki / Poha (Thin) - 3 cup Method of Preperation : Initially take a tava, add jaggery to it and also add water. Boil till the jaggery dissolves.  Once jaggery is dissolved, add ghee, yelachi and grated coconut. Mix them well. Now add avalakki/ poha and mix them well.
