Badam Burfi । ಬಾದಾಮಿ ಬರ್ಫಿ
Badam Burfi is a delight with healthy element. Badam Burfi can be consumed occasionally as a treat to your soul as well as tongue. It is a combination of Badam, Sugar and Kesar. Wellness of Badam is known to all. Consumption of Almond without skin, helps to absorb the nutrition easily, its better to use almonds without skin to get the full benifit. Almond also helps to reduce asthma, if its consumed every day morning without skin.
Enhancing the flavour is completely personal choice. This can be just prepared with Badam, Ghee and Sugar. But to enhance the flavour, in this recipe Milk, kesari and Elaichi / Cardommom is used. Every recipe can be changed as per the requirement, availability or family preferences. Definetly try this recipe and share your opinion with us.
Ingredients required :
- Badam - 1 cup
- Milk - 2 cup
- Sugar - 2 cup
- Water - 2 to 3 cup
- Kesari - 5 to 6 leaves
- Elachi powder - 1 tsp
- Ghee - 8 to 9 tsp
Method of Preparation :
- Initially take a bowl, add water to it, Once water is heated add badam to it then switch off the flame and close the lid for 20 minutes.
- After 20 minutes remove the outer skin of badam.
- Now take a mixi jar add badam to it and also ad 3/4 cup of milk and grind.
- Add 1/2 more cup of milk and grind , don't make fine paste.
- Next take a kadayi, add badam mixture to kadayi and stir continuously.
- add 3/4 cup of milk to mixi jar and shift to kadayi.
- After 10 minutes add sugar to it and mix well.
- Stir continuously for 20 to 25 more minutes.
- Meanwhile will take a plate and grace the plate by ghee, to shift the burfi.
- Now add ghee to the mixture. add 4 tsp of ghee little by little.
- Again stir for 10 more minutes.
- Next add kesari and elachi powder to it and mix well.
- Now again add 3 tsp of ghee to it and mix well.
- if required add 1 to 2 tsp of ghee after 10 minutes.
- Keep in the mind you should stir continuously.
- Again stir continuously for 10 to 15 minutes, You will see that all the mixture will come together that will be the perfect texture for badam burfi.
- Now shift the mixture to a graced plate. cut to a diamond shape or any shape you required.
- Your badam burfi is ready.

- ತುಪ್ಪ - ೮ ರಿಂದ ೯ ಚಮಚ
