Mangalore Buns । Buns । ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಬನ್ಸ್ । ಬನ್ಸ್  Mangalore buns is a famous breakfast/ snack recipe of south canara region (Udupi- Mangalore). Traditionally it is made of banana and refined flour with little sugar. But in our today’s recipe we have replaced refined flour(maida) with wheat flour. This change make this buns bit healthier. It doesn’t change the taste, but definitely mild difference is texture is noticed. Mouth-watering taste of buns with mild sweetness can be enhanced with a cup of chai(Indian Tea). It is also served with sambar or coconut chutney. But my choice is to dip the bun in chai and have it, it gives you a heavenly feel. Do try it. Sugar added in this recipe is completely optional, if you don’t like sugar, it can be skipped. But in that case, make sure that bananas are in sweeter side. Otherwise you may not like it. If Maida  is used in recipe, make sure jeera or ajwain is used. Ingredients required : Ripped banana - 4  Wheat flour - 1

No butter is used here, instead ghee is used as healthy option. Everyone can try this recipe, because we have prepared it in gas stove. Involve your kid with mixing and other activity, they would love to prepare it and definitely they will like these biscuits if they prepare by themselves. Wheat biscuits are merging of wheat flour and sugar. As a binging agent ghee and milk are used. All these ingredients are used in preparation of divine foods or prasadam. Badam Burfi । ಬಾದಾಮಿ ಬರ್ಫಿ  Badam Burfi is a delight with healthy element. Badam Burfi can be consumed occasionally as a treat to your soul as well as tongue. It is a combination of Badam, Sugar and Kesar. Wellness of Badam is known to all. Consumption of Almond without skin, helps to absorb the nutrition easily, its better to use almonds without skin to get the full benifit. Almond also helps to reduce asthma, if its consumed every day morning without skin. Enhancing the flavour is completely personal choice. This can be just prepared with Badam, Ghee and Sugar. But to enhance the flavour, in this recipe Milk, kesari and Elaichi / Cardommom is used. Every recipe can be changed as per the requirement, availability or family preferences.
