Wheat biscuits are the best tea time snack. It’s easy to prepare and doesn’t take much time. It’s much healthier than the biscuits which we get in market. No butter is used here, instead ghee is used as healthy option. Everyone can try this recipe, because we have prepared it in gas stove. Involve your kid with mixing and other activity, they would love to prepare it and definitely they will like these biscuits if they prepare by themselves.

Wheat biscuits are merging of wheat flour and sugar. As a binging agent ghee and milk are used. All these ingredients are used in preparation of divine foods or prasadam. Most of the kids love biscuits, so this is the best way to provide them biscuits. Do try it out and share your opinion with us. 

Ingredients Required

  • Wheat Flour – 1 Cup
  • Ghee / Clarified butter  – 2 tsp
  • Vanilla Essence  – 1 tsp
  • Salt  – a pinch
  • Baking Soda  – ¼ tsp
  • Baking Powder  – 1 tsp
  • Sugar powder  – ½ Cup
  • Milk  – As per the requirement

Method Of Preparation

  • In a bowl, Add Ghee and sugar powder, Blend it well until it turns to creamy texture.
  • To this add vanilla essence, blend it.
  • After blending it well add baking soda, baking powder and salt to it. Mix it well.
  • Now add Wheat flour and mix it using hands, until it turns to bread crumb consistency or until it holds a shape.
  • At this point of time add little by little milk and mix it to form a dough.
  • Dough should not be too tight or too soft. It should be almost of chapati consistency.
  • Rest it for 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Place a cooker, place wired rack on it. Switch on the flame and close it without gaskit and whistle. Allow it to heat for 10 minute in medium flame.
  • Now Take a ball sized dough, roll it using butter paper or plastic sheet. Roll it to thin biscuits and cut them in rectangle shape.
  • Now prick biscuits using fork to avoid too much of rising of biscuit. And also it gives good look to biscuits.
  • Place these biscuits in a greased plate and place them in preheated cooker.
  • Bake them for 9 minutes and then switch off the flame. Allow it to cool and then store them in air tight container.
  • Healthy, tasty Wheat biscuits are ready. This could be a best accompainment with chai.
  • If you are baking in oven. Preheat oven in 180 degree celsius, bake them in 180 degree celsius for 9 minutes. 

ಬೇಕಾಗುವ ಸಾಮಗ್ರಿಗಳು :

  • ಗೋಧಿಹಿಟ್ಟು – ೧ ಕಪ್ 
  • ತುಪ್ಪ - ೨ ಟೀ ಚಮಚ 
  • ವೆನಿಲ್ಲಾ ಎಸೆನ್ಸ್ - ೧ ಟೀ ಚಮಚ
  • ಉಪ್ಪು - ಒಂದು  ಚಿಟಿಕೆ 
  • ಬೇಕಿಂಗ್ ಸೋಡಾ - ೧/೪ ಟೀ ಚಮಚ 
  • ಬೇಕಿಂಗ್ ಪೌಡರ್ - ೧ ಟೀ ಚಮಚ  
  • ಸಕ್ಕರೆ ಪುಡಿ - ೧/೨ ಕಪ್ 
  • ಹಾಲು - ಬೇಕಾದಷ್ಟು 

ಮಾಡುವ ವಿಧಾನ :

  • ಒಂದು ಪಾತ್ರೆಗೆ ತುಪ್ಪ ಮತ್ತು ಸಕ್ಕರೆ ಪುಡಿ ಹಾಕಿ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಿಶ್ರ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು. ಬೆಣ್ಣೆಯಷ್ಟು  ಮೃದುವಾಗುವ ವರೆಗೆ ಮಿಕ್ಸ್ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು. 
  •  ಇನ್ನು ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ವೆನಿಲ್ಲಾ ಎಸೆನ್ಸ್ಹಾಕಿ ಮಿಕ್ಸ್ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು. ನಂತರ ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಬೇಕಿಂಗ್ ಸೋಡಾ, ಬೇಕಿಂಗ್ ಪೌಡರ್ ಮತ್ತು ಉಪ್ಪು ಹಾಕಿ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಿಕ್ಸ್ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು. 
  • ನಂತರ ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಗೋಧಿ ಹಿಟ್ಟು ಹಾಕಿ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಕಲಸಬೇಕು. ಬ್ರೆಡ್ ಕ್ರಮ್' ರೀತಿ  ಹದವಾಗಬೇಕು. 
  • ತದನಂತರ ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪವಾಗಿ ಹಾಲು ಹಾಕಿ ಚಪಾತಿ ಹಿಟ್ಟಿನ ಹದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಲಸಬೇಕು. 
  • ಇವತ್ತು ಕುಕ್ಕರ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇಕ್ ಮಾಡುವುದರಿಂದ,  ಕುಕ್ಕರನ್ನು ಬಿಸಿ ಮಾಡಲು ಇಡಬೇಕು. ಕುಕ್ಕರ್ ನ ಗ್ಯಾಸ್ಕಿಟ್ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಸ್ಲೆ ತೆಗೆಯಬೇಕು. ಕುಕ್ಕರ್ ನ ಒಳಗೆ ವೈರ್ ಸ್ಟಾಂಡ್ ಇಟ್ಟು ೧೦ ನಿಮಿಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಬಿಸಿ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು. 
  • ನಿಂಬೆ ಹಣ್ಣಿನ ಗಾತ್ರದ ಹಿಟ್ಟು ತೆಗೆದು ಅದನ್ನು ಒಂದು ಪೇಪರ್ ಅಥವಾ ಪ್ಲಾಸ್ಟಿಕ್ ಶೀಟ್ ನ ಸಹಾಯದಿಂದ ತೆಳ್ಳೆಗಿನ ಬಿಸ್ಕತ್ ನ ಆಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ  ಲಟ್ಟಿಸಬೇಕು. ಇನ್ನು ಫೋರ್ಕ್ ನ ಸಹಾಯದಿಂದ ಅದರ  ಮೇಲೆ ಡಿಸೈನ್ ಮಾಡಿ ಅದನ್ನು ತುಪ್ಪ ಸವರಿದ ತಟ್ಟೆ ಮೇಲೆ ಇಡಬೇಕು. 
  • ಈ ತಟ್ಟೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರಿ ಹೀಟ್ ಮಾಡಿದ ಕುಕ್ಕರ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಇಟ್ಟು  ೯ ನಿಮಿಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಮಧ್ಯಮ ಉರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇಕ್  ಮಾಡಬೇಕು. 
  • ನಂತರ ಇದನ್ನು ತಣಿಯಲು  ಬಿಟ್ಟರೆ,  ರುಚಿಕರವಾದ ಗೋಧಿ ಬಿಸ್ಕತ್  ತಯಾರಾಗುವುದು. 
  • ಓವೆನ್  ನಲ್ಲಿ ೧೮೦ ಡಿಗ್ರಿ ಸೆ ಲ್ಸಿವ್ಸ್ಸ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ೯ ನಿಮಿಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಬೇಕ್  ಮಾಡಬೇಕು.

Kokum Rasam

Kokum Rasam Ingredients Required Kokum - 2 to 3 Jaggery - 2 tbsp Salt - as per the taste Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp whole red chillies - 3 to 4 oil - 1 tsp Water - 2 cups Curry Leaves - 4 to 5 Leaves Method of Preparation Soak kokum for 30 minutes as pre preparation. Take a pan, add oil and once oil is heated add mustard seeds and garlic. Wait until garlic changes its color to light brown and mustard splutters. Now add redchillies and curry leaves fry for 30 seconds. Now add kokum soaked water, add jaggery, salt and water then get them to boil. Once its boiled allow them to boil further till 7 to 8 min. Now Kokum rasam is ready. Note : Kokum rasam cane be served with hot rice or can also be drunk as a health drink.
