Rasam Powder / ಸಾರಿನ ಪುಡಿ 


Ingredients Required

  • Redchilli - 7 to 8
  • Coriander seeds - 1 cup
  • Cumin Seeds - 1/2 cup
  • Fenugreek seeds/ Methi seeds - 1/4 cup
  • Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Asafoetida - 1 tsp

Method of Preparation

  • Take a pan, add 1 to 2 tsp of oil to it. Once oil is heated add redchillies to it and fry them for a minute.

  • Now keep the chillies aside to cool.
  • In the same pan add Methi seeds and Cumin seeds and fry them for 30 seconds.

  • Now add coriander seeds to the same pan and fry them all together for a minute.

  • Keep the fried mixture aside to cool down.
  • Once they cool down put redchillies, fried mixture and Asafoetida to a mixer jar.

  • Now grind them all to fine powder.
  • Rasam powder is ready, this can be stored in refrigerator for a year.
  • Rasam powder can be stored in regular temperatiure for atleast 3 to 4 months.





ಬೇಕಾಗುವ ಸಾಮಗ್ರಿಗಳು 

  • ಕೆಂಪುಮೆಣಸು - ೭ ರಿಂದ ೮
  • ಕೊತ್ತಂಬರಿ - ೧ ಕಪ್ 
  • ಜೀರಿಗೆ - ೧/೨ ಕಪ್  
  • ಮೆಂತೆ - ೧/೪ ಕಪ್ 
  • ಇಂಗು - ೧ ಟೀ ಸ್ಪೂನ್  
  • ಎಣ್ಣೆ - ೨ ಟೇಬಲ್ ಸ್ಪೂನ್ 

ಮಾಡುವ ವಿಧಾನ 

  • ಮೊದಲಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಬಾಣಲೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ೨ ಟೇಬಲ್ ಸ್ಪೂನ್ ಎಣ್ಣೆ ಹಾಕಿ ಗ್ಯಾಸ್ ಆನ್ ಮಾಡಿ. 
  • ಎಣ್ಣೆ ಕಾದ ನಂತರ ಅದಕ್ಕಿ ಕೆಂಪುಮೆಣಸು ಹಾಕಿ ಒಂದು ನಿಮಿಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಹುರಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಿ. ಈಗ ಅದನ್ನು ಪಾತ್ರದಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದು ಸೈಡ್ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳಿ. 
  • ಇವಾಗ ಅದೇ ಪಾತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಮೆಂತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಜೀರಿಗೆ ಹಾಕಿ ೩೦ ಸೆಕೆಂಡುಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಹುರಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಿ. ೩೦ ಸೆಕೆಂಡುಗಳ ನಂತರ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊತ್ತಂಬರಿ ಹಾಕಿ ಪುನಃ ೩೦ ಸೆಕೆಂಡುಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಹುರಿದು ಗ್ಯಾಸ್ ಆಫ್ ಮಾಡಿ. 
  • ಹುರಿದ ಪದಾರ್ಥಗಳು ಬಿಸಿ ಆರಲು ಬಿಡಿ. 
  • ಈಗ ಮಿಕ್ಸಿ ಜಾರ್ ತೆಗೆದು ಕೊಂಡು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಹುರಿದಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡ ಮೆಣಸು, ಮೆಂತೆ, ಜೀರಿಗೆ, ಕೊತ್ತಂಬರಿ ಮತ್ತು ಅದ್ದಕೆ ಇಂಗು ಹಾಕಿ ನುಣ್ಣಗೆ ರುಬ್ಬಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿ. 
  • ಈಗ ಸಾರಿನ ಪುಡಿ ರೆಡಿ ಆಗಿದೆ. 
  • ಇದನ್ನು ಫ್ರಿಡ್ಜ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಇಟ್ಟರೆ ೧ ವರ್ಷ ಇಡಬಹುದು. 
  • ಹೊರಗೆ ಇಡುವುದಾದರೆ ೩ ರಿಂದ ೪ ತಿಂಗಳುಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಇಡಬೊಹುದು.
