Mixed Fruit Jam / ಮಿಶ್ರ ಹಣ್ಣುಗಳ ಜಾಮ್ 



Ingredients Required

  • Pineapple - 1 cup
  • Apple - 1 cup
  • Muskmelon - 1 cup
  • Papaya - 1 cup
  • sugar - 1 cup
  • Ghee - 2 tbsp
  • Salt- 1/4 tsp
  • Lemon juice - 3 to 4 drops 
  • Water - As much as required 

Method of Preparation

  • Take a mixer jar add pineapple, grind it to puree using water and now shift it to a bowl.
  • In similar way grind apple, Muskmelon and papaya to fine puree separetly   and shift them to same bowl.
  • Now take a pan once pan is heated add ghee to it.
  • Now add the mixed puree and mix them well.
  • Allow them to cook until it reduces to half.
  • Stir them occasionally.
  • Now add salt and mix them well.
  • Now add a sugar and stir them continuously until sugar dissolves. 
  • Cook them for 5 minutes or until the mixture thickness to jam consistency.
  • Now switch off the flame and add lime juice and mix them well.
  • Tasty mixed fruit jam is ready.
Note :
  • Cook jam at least 20 to 30 minutes in medium flame.
  • Pomegranate juice or any other fruit juice also can be added to it.

Benifits of Mixed fruits

Mixed Fruit jam is the best way to provide fruit nutrition to kids. If your kid hates fruits, then give them this jam. Homemade jams are always best due to its less cooking time. If any jam is cooked above 30 minutes, then the nutrition in that gets reduced. Jams are the compact forms of nutritions, if its cooked with ripened fruit.

Papaya is extremely rich in vitamin C, A and is also rich in fibre. So its helps to clear the bowl movement. Papaya is the best antioxidant. Even though papaya is sweet, its less in its sugar levels. Its good for bones and eases menstrual pains.

Pineapple is low in calory and contains Vitamin A, K,,C, Phosphorus, zinc, calcium and magnesium. These are loaded with healthy antioxidants.

Apple is very good for weight loss and diabetics. Apples have probiotic effects and hence they help to improve good gut bacteria. It also helps to fight asthma.


ಬೇಕಾಗುವ ಸಾಮಗ್ರಿಗಳು 

  • ಪೈನಾಪಲ್ - ೧ ಕಪ್ 
  • ಸೇಬು ಹಣ್ಣು - ೧ ಕಪ್ 
  • ಕರಬೂಜ ಹಣ್ಣು - ೧ಕಪ್ 
  • ಪಪ್ಪಾಯ ಹಣ್ಣು - ೧ ಕಪ್ 
  • ಸಕ್ಕರೆ - ೧ ಕಪ್ 
  • ಉಪ್ಪು - ೧/೪ ಟೀ ಸ್ಪೂನ್ 
  • ಲಿಂಬೆ ರಸ - ೩ ರಿಂದ ೪ ಹನಿ 
  • ತುಪ್ಪ - ೨ ಟೇಬಲ್ ಸ್ಪೂನ್ 
  • ನೀರು - ಬೇಕಾದಷ್ಟು 

ಮಾಡುವ ವಿಧಾನ 

  • ಮೊದಲಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಮಿಕ್ಸಿ ಜಾರ್ ಗೆ   ಪೈನಾಪಲ್ ಹಾಕಿ ನೀರಿನೊಂದಿಗೆ ನುಣ್ಣಗೆ ರುಬ್ಬಿಕಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. ಅದನ್ನು ಒಂದು ಪಾತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ತೆಗೆದು ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. 
  • ಈಗ ಅದೇ ಜಾರ್ ಗೆ ಸೇಬು ಹಣ್ಣು, ಕರಬೂಜ ಹಣ್ಣು, ಪಪ್ಪಾಯ ಹಣ್ಣುನ್ನು ನೀರಿನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬೇರೆ ಬೇರೆಯಾಗಿ ರುಬ್ಬಿಕೊಂಡು ಪೈನಾಪಲ್ ರಸ ಹಾಕಿದ ಪಾತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಹಾಕಿ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. 
  • ನಂತರ ಒಂದು ಬಾಣಲೆ ತೆಗೆದು ಕೊಂಡು , ಅದು ಬಿಸಿಯಾದ ನಂತರ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ತುಪ್ಪ ಹಾಕಬೇಕು. 
  • ತುಪ್ಪ ಕರಗಿದ ನಂತರ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ರುಬ್ಬಿಇಟ್ಟ್ಕೊಂಡ ಹಣ್ಣಿನ ರಸವನ್ನು ಹಾಕಬೇಕು. 
  • ಈಗ ಇದನ್ನು ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಿಕ್ಸ್ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು. ಇದು ಚನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಿಕ್ಸ್ ಆದ ನಂತರ ಅದನ್ನು  ಬೇಯಲು ಬಿಡಬೇಕು. 
  • ಮದ್ಯ ಮದ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೈ ಕೈಯಾಡಿಸಬೇಕು. ಹಣ್ಣುಗಳ ಮಿಶ್ರಣ ಹಾಕಿದ್ದಕ್ಕಿಂನ್ತ ಅರ್ಧದಷ್ಟು ಆದಾಗ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಉಪ್ಪು  ಹಾಕಬೇಕು. ಇದನ್ನು ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಿಶ್ರ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. ಇನ್ನುಸಕ್ಕರೆ ಹಾಕಬೇಕು.  
  • ಸಕ್ಕರೆ ಹಾಕಿದ ನಂತರ ಅದು ಕರಗುವ ತನಕ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಕೈಯಾಡಿಸಬೇಕು. ಇನ್ನು ಮಿಶ್ರಣ ಗಟ್ಟಿಯಾಗುವ ತನಕ ಕುದಿಸಬೇಕು. 
  • ಮತ್ತೆ ಮಿಶ್ರಣ ಜಾಮ್ ನ ಹದಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುವ ತನಕ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಬೇಯಿಸಬೇಕು.  
  • ಅಥವ ಸುಮಾರು ೫ ನಿಮಿಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಬೇಯಿಸಬೇಕು. ನಂತರ ಗ್ಯಾಸ್ ಆರಿಸಿ ಅದಕೆ ನಿಂಬೆರಸ ಹಾಕಿ ಮಿಕ್ಸ್ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರೆ ಮಿಶ್ರ ಹಣ್ಣುಗಳ ಜಾಮ್ ತಯಾರಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. 

ಸೂಚನೆ :
  • ಸುಮಾರು ೨೫ ರಿಂದ ೩೦ ನಿಮಿಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಮಧ್ಯಮ ಉರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಜಾಮನ್ನು ಬೇಯಿಸಬೇಕು. 
  • ದಾಳಿಂಬೆ ಹಣ್ಣು ಅಥವಾ ನಿಮಗೆ ಇಷ್ಟವಾದ ಬೇರೆ ಹಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೂಡಾ ಬಳಸಬಹುದು.
