Kayi Vade | ಕಾಯಿವಡೆ । ಕಾಯೊಡೆ । Coconut Vade Kayi Vade is a traditional snack dish. It is prepared during navarathri. It is also prepared in pitrupaksha. This recipe is also more important element of sharda's. Simple combination of rice, coconut and chillies make them authentic and delicious. Ingredients Required Soaked Rice - 1 Cup Grated Coconut - 3/4 Cup Salt - As per the taste Green Chillies - 3-4 Cumin Seeds - 1 Tsp Water - As per the requirement Oil - For Deep frying Method of Preparation Pre Soak Rice for 3 to 4 hours. Drain water. Add Rice to mixer jar, add greenchillies, cumin seeds, salt and grated coconut. Grind it without water, to a medium fine paste. Or as fine as possible. Transfer the grinded mixture to a bowl. Place a wet muslin cloth on a plate, make small balls of grinded mixture. Place small balls on cloth with desired distance.
