Kaju Kathli is a very famous sweet dish. Which is mostly prepared on special occasions like rakhi, diwali, birthdays and anniversary. Most of the times we buy it from stores, check out the recipe and try it out, i can gurantee you that you will never buy kaju kathli from outside now onwards.

Norrmally its prepared by making sugar syrup. But this recipe is quite simple and no cooking is needed. Very simple but no compromise  with taste. This recipe will hardly consume 10 minutes. So, do try it out and share you opinion in comment box.

This kaju kathli can be stored in room temparature for 3 days, but after that its suggested to store in  refrigerator.


Ingredients Required

  • Cashew - 1 cup
  • Sugar powder - 1/2 cup
  • Milk - 1 tsp

Method of Preparation

  • Grind cashew to fine powder, mix this powdered cashew with sugar powder so that there are no lumps formed.
  • After mixing well sieve it , and if grainy particals are left grind them again and mix it well.
  • No add little milk around 1/4 tsp and combine it well to form a dough shape. If required milk can be added further.
  • Once dough is formed, roll them to desired thickeness and cut them to diamond shape.
  • Kaju kathli is ready.

Note : 

  • Do not add all the milk at a time, add little by little.
  • Split or full cashew can be used.
  • Measurement should be done with whole cashew before grinding, do not measure the proportion after grinding cashew. But sugar should be measured after grinding.
  • While rolling do use butter paper/ plastic / banana leaf. if not used it will be difficult to remove it.

ಬೇಕಾಗುವ ಸಾಮಗ್ರಿಗಳು 

  • ಗೋಡಂಬಿ - ೧ ಕಪ್ 
  • ಸಕ್ಕರೆ ಪುಡಿ - ೧/೨ ಕಪ್ 
  • ಹಾಲು - ೧ ಟೀ ಚಮಚ 

ಮಾಡುವ ವಿಧಾನ 

  • ಮಿಕ್ಸಿ ಜಾರ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಗೋಡಂಬಿಯನ್ನು ಪುಡಿ ಮಾಡುಕೊಳ್ಳ ಬೇಕು. ಈ ಮಿಶರ್ನ ಮತ್ತು  ಸಕ್ಕರೆ ಪುಡಿಯನ್ನು ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಬೆರೆಸಬೇಕು. 
  • ಈಗ ಬೆರೆಸಿದ ಈ ಮಿಶ್ರಣವನ್ನು ಜರಡಿ ಹಿಡಿದು ಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. 
  • ಜರಡಿ ಹಿಡಿದ ನಂತರ ತರಿ ತರಿ ಮಿಶ್ರಣ ಜಾಸ್ತಿ ಉಳಿದುಕೊಂಡಲ್ಲಿ ಆ ಮಿಶ್ರನ್ನ ವನ್ನು ಇನ್ನೊಮ್ಮೆ ಪುಡಿ ಮಾಡಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. 
  • ಇನ್ನು ಇದನ್ನು ಉಳಿದ ಮಿಶ್ರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. 
  • ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಹಾಲು , ಸುಮಾರು ೧/೪ ಟೀ ಚಮಚ ದಷ್ಟು , ಹಾಕಿ ಮಿಶ್ರಣವನ್ನು ಚಪಾತಿ ಹಿಟ್ಟಿನ ಹದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಲಸಬೇಕು. ಹಾಲು ಬೇಕಾದಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತೆ ಸೇರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿ. 
  • ಹಿಟ್ಟಿನ ಹದಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂಡ ನಂತರ ಉಂಡೆಗಳ ನ್ನಾಗಿಸಿ ಬೇಕಾಗುವ ದಪ್ಪಕ್ಕೆ ಲಟ್ಟಿಸಬೇಕು. 
  • ನಂತರ ಬೇಕಾದ ಆಕೃತಿಗೆ ತುಂಡರಿಸಿದರೆ ಕಾಜು ಕಥಿಲೀ ತಯಾರಾಗುತದೆ .

Kokum Rasam

Kokum Rasam Ingredients Required Kokum - 2 to 3 Jaggery - 2 tbsp Salt - as per the taste Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp whole red chillies - 3 to 4 oil - 1 tsp Water - 2 cups Curry Leaves - 4 to 5 Leaves Method of Preparation Soak kokum for 30 minutes as pre preparation. Take a pan, add oil and once oil is heated add mustard seeds and garlic. Wait until garlic changes its color to light brown and mustard splutters. Now add redchillies and curry leaves fry for 30 seconds. Now add kokum soaked water, add jaggery, salt and water then get them to boil. Once its boiled allow them to boil further till 7 to 8 min. Now Kokum rasam is ready. Note : Kokum rasam cane be served with hot rice or can also be drunk as a health drink.
