Salad ! This word may get smile and happiness in few faces and an ignorant expression and feeling in few. Intension of Veggie protein salad is to get smile on faces, so we have mixed few desi spices to enhance the taste. But….if you like you can even add mixed herbs, pizza mix or pasta mix to get the Wow ! feeling.

Salad is a meal which can be consumed at any point of time, as an energy booster. Mixture of vegetables and legumes provide good amount of dietary fibre and high amount of vitamins and minerals. With health benefits it also helps to reduce your weight due to low fat and high energy. Veggie protein salad is very helpful to people who suffer from diabetics, because we use sprouted black Chana.

Sprouting??? when you hear this word, everyone will have one thing in mind that how to do it? Here is how I sprout the chickpea,
  • Soak Black Chana or Black chickpeas for 7 to 8 hours or overnight.
  • Next morning wash Black chana and remove the water.
  • Tie Black channa using muslin cloth and hang it, or else keep it in a bowl and close the lid.
  • Wash the Chana every 3 to 4 hours, so that it doesn’t accumulate any bacteria which would harm the gut health.
  • Sprouting will start taking place and it need at least 12 hours to get completely sprouted, after you hang it.


Sprouting helps to increase the amount of fibre, and improves the digestion. Mixed vegetables helps to get the required vitamins in one serving. Adding lime juice increases the absorption of all nutrients, so add either vinegar or lime jucie. Veggie Protein salad helps to control blood sugar. 

 Ingredients Required

  • Black chana/ Black Chickpea (sprouted) - 1 cup
  • Capsicum (Any color ) - 1/2 cup
  • Carrot - 1/2 cup
  • Cauliflower - 1/2 cup
  • Pepper Powder - 1 tsp
  • Salt - As per the taste 
  • Lime juice - 1 tbsp
  • Chat Masala - 1 tsp
  • Coriander leaves - 2 tbsp

 Method of Preparation

  • Mix Sprouted gram, carrot, capsicum, cauliflower and salt in a bowl.


  




  • Steam sprouted gram,capsicum, carrot, cauliflower for 3 to 5 min.



  • Take a bowl, pour all steamed vegetables, pepper powder, chat masala, coriander leaves and lime juice, mix them well.


  • Now healthy Veggie protein salad is ready.




ಬೇಕಾಗುವ ಸಾಮಗ್ರಿಗಳು 

  • ಕಪ್ಪು ಕಡಲೆ (ಮೊಳಕೆ ಬರಿಸಿರುವುದು) - ೧ ಕಪ್ 
  • ದೊಣ್ಣೆ ಮೆಣಸು(ಕೆಂಪು ) - ೧/೨ ಕಪ್ 
  • ಕ್ಯಾರಟ್ - ೧/೨ ಕಪ್ 
  • ಹೂಕೋಸು  - ೧/೨ ಕಪ್ 
  • ಕಾಳುಮೆಣಸಿನ ಪುಡಿ - ೧ ಟೀ ಚಮಚ 
  • ಉಪ್ಪು - ರುಚಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಕಷ್ಟು 
  • ಲಿಂಬೆ ರಸ - ೧ ಟೇಬಲ್ ಚಮಚ 
  • ಚಾಟ್ ಮಸಾಲಾ - ೧ ಟೀ ಚಮಚ 
  • ಕೊತ್ತಂಬರಿ ಸೊಪ್ಪು - ೨ ಟೇಬಲ್ ಚಮಚ 

ಮಾಡುವ ವಿಧಾನ 

  • ಒಂದು ಪಾತ್ರೆ  ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ   ಕಪ್ಪು ಕಡಲೆ, ಕ್ಯಾರಟ್, ಕೆಂಪು ದೊಣ್ಣೆ ಮೆಣಸು,  ಹೂಕೋಸು ಮತ್ತು ಉಪ್ಪು ಹಾಕಿ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಬೆರೆಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. 
  • ಈ ಮಿಶ್ರಣವನ್ನು ಹಬೆಯಲ್ಲಿ  ೩ ರಿಂದ ೫ ನಿಮಿಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಬೇಯಿಸಬೇಕು. 
  • ಒಂದು ಪಾತ್ರೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಹಬೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇಯಿಸಿದ ತರಕಾರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾಳುಮೆಣಸಿನ ಪುಡಿ, ಉಪ್ಪು, ಲಿಂಬೆ ರಸ, ಚಾಟ್ ಮಸಾಲಾ, ಕೊತ್ತಂಬರಿ ಸೊಪ್ಪು ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಿಕ್ಸ್ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಆರೋಗ್ಯಕರವಾದ, ರುಚಿಕರವಾದ ತರಕಾರಿಗಳು- ಕಾಳಿನ ಸಲಾಡ್  ತಯಾರಾಗಿದೆ.

Bisibelebath Powder | ಬಿಸಿಬೇಳೆ ಬಾತ್ ಪೌಡರ್  Bisibele bath powder is a blend of few dals and aroma spices. This is used in famous dish called bisibelebath , which is a famous south indian dish. Preparation time : 20 minutes         Servings : 6 persons Ingredients Required: Urad dal - 1.5 tsp Channa dal - 1.5 tsp Roasted Bengal gram - 1.5 tsp Redchillies - 4 to 5 Cinnamon stick - 2 inches Kapok buds (Marathi moggu) - 3 to 4 Cloves - 1/4 tsp Methi seeds - 1/4 tsp Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp Coriander seeds - 1 tsp Oil - 1 tsp Method of Preparation: Take a pan, add oil, once oil is hot add urad dal and channa dal, fry it for 30 seconds.  Add Roasted bengal gram to it and fry it further for 30 seconds.
