Sweet Corn Gravy  |  ಸ್ವೀಟ್ ಕಾರ್ನ್ ರೆಸಿಪಿ 



Corn is usually considered as a vegetable but it is actually a grain, sweet corn is best for our skin as well as our hair growth. It is high in vitamin C, Vitamin B12, folic acid and iron and it is good source of fiber. Corn helps in reducing the risk of Anemia, by supplying enough amount of the nutrients required to produce fresh Red blood cells. Corn even helps to prevent constipation and various digestive problems. Diabetic patients can also have corn in limited amount.

Sweet corn gravy is a rich mixture of tomato, onion, cashew, garlic and ginger. Tomato's are sauteed until they leave their juice, onions are sauteed until it change their color, cashew provides the richness to the gravy. Mixture of spices enhances the taste of the gravy and makes the tummy happy.




  Serving : For 2 to 3 members                              Cooking Time : 30 to 35 minutes
                                                                                                                                          

 Ingredients Required

  • Sweet corn - 1/2 cup
  • Onion - 2
  • Tomato - 1
  • Cashew - 4 to 5 full in size
  • Red chill - 2
  • Garlic - 4 to 5 cloves
  • Ginger - 2 small piece 
  • Garam masla - 1/2 tsp
  • Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Coriander leaves - 1 tsp
  • Salt - As per the taste 
  • Water - As much as required 

 Method of Preparation

  • Initially take water in a bowl, boil the water. once water is boiled put sweet corn to it.
  • After that switch off the gas and close the bowl with lid and keep a side for 10 minutes.



  • Now take a pan, heat the pan, once pan is heated add oil to it.

  • Once oil is heated add onion and fry it for 2 to 3 minutes. Then add garlic, ginger and fry it for 30 seconds.



  • Now add red chili, cashew, tomato and fry it for 5 minutes and switch off the gas.



  • Take a mixer jar pour all fried items, little amount of salt and grind it to fine paste.


  • Now take a pan add oil to it , once oil is heated add onion and fry it until the onion turns to light brown color.


  • At this stage add the prepared paste and little amount of water and stir it well for 2 to 3 minutes.
                                     

                                     
  • After that add garam masala powder, chili powder, salt and mix well for a minutes.
                                   

                                   

                                   

  • Now add water to it and boil for 5 minutes.

  • At this stage add sweet corn to it and boil it for 2 minutes.
  • Now delicious sweet corn is ready to serve. you can use coriander leaves for garnishing.
                                     

ಬೇಕಾಗುವ ಸಾಮಗ್ರಿಗಳು 

  • ಸ್ವೀಟ್ ಕಾರ್ನ್ - ೧/೨ ಕಪ್ 
  • ಈರುಳ್ಳಿ - ೨
  • ಟೊಮೇಟೊ - ೧
  • ಗೋಡಂಬಿ - ೪ ಟು ೫ 
  • ಕೆಂಪುಮೆಣಸು - ೨
  • ಬೆಳ್ಳುಳ್ಳಿ - ೪ ರಿಂದ ೫ ಎಸಳು 
  • ಶುಂಠಿ - ೧ ರಿಂದ ೨ ಸಣ್ಣ ಪೀಸ್ 
  • ಗರಂ ಮಸಾಲಾ ಪೌಡರ್ - ೧/೨ ಟೀ ಚಮಚ 
  • ಕೆಂಪುಮೆಣಸಿನ ಪುಡಿ - ೧/೨ ಟೀ ಚಮಚ 
  • ಎಣ್ಣೆ - ೨ ಟೇಬಲ್ ಚಮಚ 
  • ಕೊತ್ತಂಬರಿ ಸೊಪ್ಪು - ೧ ಟೀ ಚಮಚ 
  • ಉಪ್ಪು - ರುಚಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಕಷ್ಟು 
  • ನೀರು - ಬೇಕಾದಷ್ಟು 

ಮಾಡುವ ವಿಧಾನ 

  • ಮೊದಲಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಪಾತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀರನ್ನು ಕುದಿಸಬೇಕು. ಆ ನೀರಿಗೆ ಸ್ವೀಟ್ ಕಾರ್ನ್ ಅನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿ ಗ್ಯಾಸ್ ಆರಿಸಿ ಮುಚ್ಚಳ ಮುಚ್ಚಿ ೧೦ ನಿಮಿಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಇಡಬೇಕು. 
  • ಈಗ ಒಂದು ಬಾಣಲೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಎಣ್ಣೆ ಹಾಕಬೇಕು. ಎಣ್ಣೆ ಕಾದನಂತರ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಈರುಳ್ಳಿ ಹಾಕಿ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ೨ ರಿಂದ ೩ ನಿಮಿಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಫ್ರೈ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು. ತದನಂತರ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಬೆಳ್ಳುಳಿ ಮತ್ತು ಶುಂಠಿ ಹಾಕಿ ೩೦ ಸೆಕೆಂಡುಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಫ್ರೈ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು. 
  • ಈಗ ಅದ್ದಕೆ ಕೆಂಪು ಮೆಣಸು, ಗೋಡಂಬಿ, ಟೊಮೇಟೊ ಹಾಕಿ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಫ್ರೈ  ೨ ನಿಮಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಫ್ರೈ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು. 
  • ಈಗ ಗ್ಯಾಸ್ ಆರಿಸಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಮಿಕ್ಸಿ ಜಾರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನುಣ್ಣಗೆ ರುಬ್ಬಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. 
  • ಮತ್ತೆ ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ಬಾಣಲೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಎಣ್ಣೆ ಹಾಕಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. ಎಣ್ಣೆ ಕಾದ ನಂತರ  ಈರುಳ್ಳಿ ಹಾಕಿ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಫ್ರೈ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. ಈಗ ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ರುಬ್ಬಿಕೊಂಡ ಮಿಶ್ರಣವನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಕೈ ಆಡಿಸಬೇಕು. 
  • ೨ ನಿಮಷಗಳ ನಂತರ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಗರಂಮಸಾಲ ಪುಡಿ, ಖಾರದ ಪುಡಿ, ಉಪ್ಪು ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ನೀರು ಹಾಕಿ 1 ನಿಮಿಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಕುದಿಸಬೇಕು. 
  • ಈಗ ಬಿಸಿನೀರಲ್ಲಿ ಇಟ್ಟ ಸ್ವೀಟ್ ಕಾರ್ನ್ ಅನ್ನು ಮಿಕ್ಸ್ ಮಾಡಿ ೨ ನಿಮಿಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಕುದಿಸಿದರೆ ಸ್ವೀಟ್ ಕಾರ್ನ್ ರರೆಸಿಪಿ ರೆಡಿ ಆಗಿದೆ. 
  • ಬೇಕಾದರೆ ಕೊತ್ತಂಬರಿ ಸೊಪ್ಪಿನಿಂದ ಗಾರ್ನಿಶ್ ಮಾಡಬಹುದು.

Kokum Rasam

Kokum Rasam Ingredients Required Kokum - 2 to 3 Jaggery - 2 tbsp Salt - as per the taste Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp whole red chillies - 3 to 4 oil - 1 tsp Water - 2 cups Curry Leaves - 4 to 5 Leaves Method of Preparation Soak kokum for 30 minutes as pre preparation. Take a pan, add oil and once oil is heated add mustard seeds and garlic. Wait until garlic changes its color to light brown and mustard splutters. Now add redchillies and curry leaves fry for 30 seconds. Now add kokum soaked water, add jaggery, salt and water then get them to boil. Once its boiled allow them to boil further till 7 to 8 min. Now Kokum rasam is ready. Note : Kokum rasam cane be served with hot rice or can also be drunk as a health drink.
